WILD VETIVER All-Natural Eau de Parfum

My first thought is that it is a little too masculine. The smell is “sharp” and “deep” like leather and whiskey. Becomes sweeter & citrus-y. Reminds me of my fingers after eating a sumo orange, which lingers on my skin for the rest of the day. Personally, I think I would be more comfortable wearing this at night than in the office, and in cold weather rather than warm weather. I think I’ll give this to my fiancé for him to try.

I have the small oil sample. I put it on a test plate and leave it in a room for days to experience the scent over time. Because I use perfume only on my clothes, and not skin, it approximates the experience. I also use perfumes as room scents whether I do/don't wear them myself.

This is really terrific. I'm in the dry down phase about 12 hours after initial application. It indeed does have phases, but the current phase it has been on for the bulk of that time. I get wafts from time to time. It doesn't carry/project as much as another scent from this company (that has incredible projection for a natural botanical) but still moves.

I consider myself a perfume layperson, even after ten years as a side hobby. Middle age male demographic. That said, I'd describe what I'm getting now as an extremely pleasing sweetness, but not a sweetness that is gourmand, nor juvenile. Rather just an "earthy" sweetness without any dirty attached to it; I'd say the company's "powdery sweet mossy with vetiver" is what fits really well, the powdery sweet being in my opinion universally likable and yet not readily recognized or commonplace.

Took me over a year to test the samples I received as a gift. I am very, very impressed as someone who is constantly seeking out natural botanical perfumes for many years. I've liked every sample without exception and I am extremely fussy. This brand/house is underrated and under-recognized, their perfumes are of very high quality.

I had gotten this perfume as a gift for a friend. He absolutely loved the fresh, grassy scent of Wild Vetiver that has a hint of woodiness to it as well.
I got one of the birchwood boxes and left a note for Mason, mentioning it was a birthday gift, and he made his already beautiful aesthetic extra special. It made my friend's day. Thank you, Mason. The care you put in was seen and appreciated.

I rotate between Wild Vetiver, Palo Santo, & Temple perfume. It never matters which one I have on, I’m always stopped and complemented. From the actual perfume to the packaging, the overall experience with Mizu/M. Hainey is a beautiful & thoughtful experience.
