MONARCH All Natural Botanical Perfume Oil

I Love The Smell of the Monarch.

Monarch's scent is deeply complex, warm, and vibrant. I use it to ground me before my yoga practice or going into my day with mystery on my wrist, neck, and decolletage, from summer into fall.

I receive perfume samples as Christmas gifts, a long time hobby of mine that I don't have a lot of time for unfortunately. I was finally able to start trying the few samples from this brand from now two Christmases ago, so they've been in their test vials for at least 14 months.

I put fragrance on these test plates that I have and leave them in my office where I can sniff them and randomly explore the scent, mostly focusing on what the scent gives me from a little distance. The first thing I noticed, that I wasn't prepared for, is that this is def an OIL, lol. I am used to alcohol-based-everything, so when I was dripping the sample onto the surface of the plate, the liquid was obviously much thicker.

SO, that also have me a LOT more longevity on this test plate.

The experience: Very pleasant scent. I go into these without looking at any notes, knowing nothing about the products I'm testing. Very difficult to describe the overall scent outside of saying "a cozy, musty old room, in the best way."

NOTE: After 24 hours, I can still smell it not only in the room, but in other parts of the house randomly, AND the oil drippings still haven't dried up, which is amazing. I use perfume only on my clothes, so I'm not sure I can use this for anything except a room scent, but it's worth it for that use.

That said, this oil creates another effect: it's better enjoyed from a distance. Mid way through the 24 hours when I got close, getting my nose next to it, I'd get a sort of "rubber" note, whatever it is is not uncommon to natural fragrance in my experience (which is all I use now, I no longer use anything with the synthetic aromachemicals). The "rubber" could be interpreted by many noses as more a "leather."

Then later in the dry down I found spices, pretty distinctly.

Meanwhile, the distance sniffs still give me the very cozy musty room that is very enjoyable. It has a unique and wonderful ability to fill a room and other areas but without being the least bit overwhelming.

It's a great scent. Looking forward to trying more from this brand and will likely purchase a full bottle of this due to the strength, longevity and ambiance it offers.

Earthy yet light!

I have worn Versace Eau Fraîche exclusively for 13 years. I never once tried wearing a different cologne because I loved it so much. Then, a friend of mine started to wear this beautifully scented perfume and I became obsessed. I bought it immediately and have worn it every single day, even when I go to bed. I have been wearing it for around a month and have received SO many compliments on how wonderful it smells. It also truly is unisex. It doesn’t smell “manly” or feminine, it just smells like heaven.
